For the month of January we have been covering the full first season of this anthology series. This week we finish up the season with episodes 9 & 10. Based on the book of the same name by Dan Simmons, The Terror follows the 1845 Franklin Expedition in their search for the Northwest Passage. Choices are made and not long into their journey both ships become trapped in the Arctic ice. Along with the many practical challenges of being stranded, the crew soon discover the polar bear pursuing them is more sinister than it seems.

Consensus: This episode runs a little longer for us than usual because SO much is packed into these last two episodes. We finally get an understanding out what tuunbaq is and find out the fates of each member of the expedition crew.
This series is a perfect match for the cold month of January. And though it is spooky, it's definitely safe for horror newbies as well.
